Yes. Even if you’ve been exposed to some HPV types, the vaccine still protects you against the types you haven’t yet encountered.
Two doses if you start before age 15; three doses for adults and older recipients (15 and above). Dr. Tan will confirm your schedule at the first visit.
Gardasil 9 has an excellent safety record worldwide. Side effects are usually mild and brief — a sore arm, slight redness, or mild fatigue for a day or two.
Yes. The vaccine prevents most — but not all — cancer-causing HPV types, so routine cervical screening is still recommended for women after vaccination.
